Los
Angeles, Ca.- Oct. 10, 2002 – The cofounders of Creative Alley Productions,
Christian Keiber and Bryce C. Campbell, announced today that the short film,
“Opposite Sex and the City”, which Campbell produced along with S. Greg Gardner,
has been accepted into the LA Short Film Festival and will be screened on
Saturday October 19th.
‘Opposite
Sex and the City”, which also starred Christian Keiber and Michelle Mellgren of
Creative Alley, is an irreverent spoof on the popular HBO show “Sex and the
City”. The story revolves around Brad Carryshaw (instead of Carrie Bradshaw)
and his male LA friends as they struggle with the age old dating question,
“When is it okay to fart in front of your date?”
“The festival is an amazing event that offers some very talented filmmakers a great place to showcase their work,” says Campbell. “I am honored to have ‘Opposite Sex’ be a part of this tradition.”
The “LA Shorts Fest”, presented by Filmmaker’s United, is dedicated to the celebration and cultivation of the short film. Through a variety of yearlong activities, LA Shorts Fest educates, entertains and honors those who have mastered the craft. Entering its sixth year, LA Shorts Fest is one of the largest Academy-accredited short film festivals in the world; last year's festival garnered over 1,000 film entries and drew more than 5,000 moviegoers.
“We
are very proud of our work on ‘Opposite Sex’. It was a lot of fun to make and
will be even more fun to see the audiences reaction at the festival,” adds
Keiber.
“Opposite Sex and the City” is slated to screen at 5:30pm on Oct. 19th at the Los Angeles Film School Theater 4. For more information on the festival, please visit their at www.lashortsfest.com or click on the link from the Creative Alley homepage, www.creativealleyproductions.com.
